Ontario just announced new Support for locked down businesses


For businesses that were subjected to the closures under the recent restrictions the Ontario COVID-19 Small Business Relief Grant is a $10,000 grant that would be provided to eligible businesses, such as:

  • Restaurants and bars
  • Facilities for indoor sports and recreational fitness activities (including fitness centres and gyms);
  • Performing arts and cinemas
  • Museums, galleries, aquariums, zoos, science centres, landmarks, historic sites, botanical gardens and similar attractions
  • Meeting or event spaces
  • Tour and guide services
  • Conference centres and convention centres
  • Driving instruction for individual
  • Before- and after- school programs
Businesses that had applied and qualified for the previous Ontario Small Business Support Grant will be 're-screened' for eligibility for this new program.  Everyone else will have to apply when the portal for application opens (coming soon).
