The Ministry of Government and Community Services has a webinar on "Pitch Preparation" on September 16th (10am - noon).

The Government of Ontario is offering a series of free webinars to help reboot your export business. This workshop designed to help you develop the all important “pitch presentation”, and we begin with what is most important to your customers and business partners – focusing on how you communicate your features, benefits and value. We will build up your presentation and then break that down into a 15-second elevator pitch and a two minute coffee pitch. You can expect to leave with all the tools you need to make a lasting impression and differentiate yourself from the crowd.

The webinar will cover topics such as:

- Differentiation and Unique Selling Proposition
- Identifying Your Brand Essence
- Developing Multiple Pitch Formats
- Knowing how to use your pitches in different scenarios (virtual missions, hybrid, in-person, receptions, meetings, etc.)

Digital Main Street opens for 3rd round of Transformation Grants

 Monday marked the opening of the new round of grants available from the Digital Main Street program.  The DMS platform was initiated by the TABIA group as a way to get digital training and tools into the hands of the main street businesses - partnering with OBIAA and funds from the Federal and Provincial government, they rolled out grants to businesses who completed the training so that they can implement the new skills they learned. Reconnect Ontario 2022 Grant Program now open

The province has now opened applications for their event/festivals grant:  Reconnect Ontario 2022 If your event/festival takes place between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023 and engages people across the province to rediscover Ontario you are encouraged to apply before the deadline of February 22, 2022. Funding can be up to 50% of eligible costs to a maximum of $250,000.  Just a reminder that nearly all applications now from the province of Ontario requires you to have a ONe-key ID, and if you don't have one, it can take up to 5 days to get one.  So apply soon.
