Digital Main Street opens for 3rd round of Transformation Grants

 Monday marked the opening of the new round of grants available from the Digital Main Street program.  The DMS platform was initiated by the TABIA group as a way to get digital training and tools into the hands of the main street businesses - partnering with OBIAA and funds from the Federal and Provincial government, they rolled out grants to businesses who completed the training so that they can implement the new skills they learned. This new 3rd round, "DMS 3.0", is launching with an expanded definition of what 'main street' is; essentially, if the 'brick and mortar' business is under 50 employees and pays its portion of the commercial tax on the building (i.e. through rent) then it is eligible. They also put in the stipulation that if the business had received any of the prior 2 grant rounds, then they would not be eligible for this. Purolator launches TRUE NORTH Small Business Grant

 Purolator is looking to give back to the small businesses that relied on them to help move their products around - and they're doing it by providing 3 grants of $20,000 in cash. Not great 'odds' when you think of the number of 'small' businesses across the whole country, but like many of my friends used to say "you gotta be in it, to win it".  What have you got to lose by applying ?

BMO launches Celebrating Women Grant

 In collaboration with Deloitte, BMO is launching a "Celebrating Women" grant program. There are 10 grants of $10,000 available and 8 grants of up to $2,500. To be eligible you must: Be a resident of Canada Over the legal age of majority >51% owner controlled by women Headquartered in Canada (with at least half the sales done in Canada) be a for profit with under $10m in annual sales Been in operation for at least 2 years as of Jan 1, 2021 Deadline to apply is August 13th, 2021 @ 11:59PM ET https://bmoforwomen.com/celebrating-women/bmo-celebrating-women-grant-program/
